Bony beaten again for first three points
The under-15s collected their first three points of the season against a physical Bonymaen side, but were forced to dig deep and come from behind to claim the victory. Three new players made their debuts at a greasy Bonymaen Park and Nicky Smart, Jack Knill and Harry Knill all made good impressions.
The Yellow and Greens took an early lead, thanks to a fine Arwyn Adlam header, but the scores were level at the break after a defensive mix-up allowed the hosts to score.
Dunvant were struggling to find the form which had caused Llangyfelach so many problems, last Saturday, and they soon found themselves a goal behind. This, however, provided a wake-up call for the boys and the final 20 minutes saw a complete change in their play, and their fortunes. A sweeping movement saw Ben Chalk equalise at the far post and, within minutes, the powerful striker had the opportunity to reclaim the lead. Jack Knill exchanged passes with Jonathan Bebb before being bundled over in the box and Chalk smashed home the resultant penalty.
Taking the lead seemed to free up the visitors and they soon extended their lead in dramatic fashion. First Chalk completed his hat-trick with a rasping drive from the edge of the box and then, moments later, skipper Bebb went one better with a fierce left-footed drive from 25 yards.
The performance was a mixture of the good, the bad and the ugly but, ultimately, it was the three points that was crucial and the Yellow and Greens can look ahead to Saturday's visit to Morriston with confidence.
