Jan's late show stuns Garden Village
The under 13s pulled off an amazing last-minute houdini-act to claim all three points at Stafford Common. This was a game that the Yellow and Greens deperately needed to win, to escape the relagation positions, and the initial exchanges were very positive. However, despite dominating the first half, it was the home side that led at the interval thanks to their only real attempt on goal.
It appeared that luck was not on our side again as time ran out but, with 5 minutes remaining, the referee awarded Dunvant a generous penalty which Arwyn Adlam converted for his third of the season. With most supporters happy to settle for a draw, Jasper Addey launched one final attack and Jan Hatay, from a suspiciously offside position, found the corner of the net for a vital winner.
The win lifts Dunvant to fifth in the table and leaves Garden Village hanging above the relagation trap-door with a crucial December looming.
