Pair of Jacks win three points
Jack Holland and Jack Knill were on target as the under-15s ground out a second successive three pointer to stay in the top half of the table. Morriston were keen to make the most of their physical superiority but were left to rue a lack of quality, and cutting edge, in the last third against a committed Dunvant defence.
Against the wind, and against the run of play, the visitors took the lead shortly before the break. Jonathan Bebb's teasing free-kick was missed by everyone except Holland, who tapped home at the far post.
The second half saw the hosts continue to enjoy most of the possession, without really troubling Nicky Smart in the Dunvant goal. However, as the half wore on, the Yellow and Greens began to get a foothold in opposition territory and, after Arwyn Aadlam's mazy run was halted, Knill was on hand to calmly slot home his first goal for the club.
The victory, and a clean sheet, was very pleasing and showed that the team can grind out results even when not at their best. The six points gained this week will certainly give confidence for the matches ahead.
