Promising start for new under-10s
The new under-10 team got their pre-season off to a good start at the Bonymaen tournament. Despite not having trained together, prior to the event, the new-look team suprised many with some fine performances against some quality opposition.
Dunvant were drawn in a tough group of seven teams, most from outside the Swansea area. The team were in contention for a semi-final position up until the final pool match, having won their first four games and drawing against an impresive Port Talbot side. Defeat against Afan Lido, in their final match, meant that the Yellow and Greens failed to progress on goals scored.
Overall the management were very pleased with the skill levels, so early in the campaign, and feel that this could be another successful season. Special praise was reserved to the two new squad members - Sam Powell and Jac Barrow - who integrated well and showed some real quality.
