U13s smash NINE
The under-13s ran riot, at Ynystawe Park, to smash Birchgrove for Nine. Deadly forwards Dylan Bebb and Lewis Reed combined to score eight of the goals to suggest that SJFL defences could be in for a tough time in the weeks to come.
Dunvant were ahead as early as the fifth minute. Bebb was upended, just outside the box, and Reed scored his first goal for the club with a sweet strike from he resulting free kick. Bebb benefitted from good build up work, shortly afterwards, to double the advantage and Cameron McCreadie made it three with a thumping header from Reed's accurate corner.
Dunvant's intense workrate, typified by midfielders Iwan Preddy and Sam Powell, was keeping the Yellow and Greens on the front foot and the second half began in similar fashion. Bebb and Reed continued to wreck havoc, adding another three goals each and, despite conceding a late goal, it was a very satisfying morning for the visitors.
The result was hugely satisfying and the performance will give the team great confidence as they strive to climb the league table
