Under-11s impress at Bishopston
The Yellow and Greens maintained their recent impressive run with two victories and a draw at sunny Bishopston. The dry, pleasant conditions allowed the Dunvant boys to display the full range of their skills and the confident manner in which they made use of the ball and combined as a team suggests they will do well next year at 11-a-side.
The opening game ended goal-less, against Birchgrove, but Dunvant enjoyed the lion's share of possession and would have claimed victory had a couple of chances been taken. The home side provided the second opposition and by half-time Dunvant were two goals ahead. Jac Barrow's industry caused problems for the Bishopston defence, allowing Dylan Bebb to bundle in the opener and Bebb doubled the lead with an audacious lob, over the advancing keeper, shortly after.
Bonymaen were the final opponents of the day and, once more, Dunvant were vastly superior in all departments. No goals were scored in the opening half but, soon after the break, Tomos Davies turned neatly and picked out Bebb on the edge of the box and his powerful drive found the net. Bebb then completed the scoring with his 250th league goal for the club and Ethan Dacey-Davies, in goal, recorded his 31st clean-sheet of a very impressive season.
