West Wales Cup Triumph

The under 13s produced their best performance of the season to advance to the third round of the West Wales Cup, at the expense of Neath League high-fliers, Bryncoch.  Jamie Cameron made an impressive debut, and birthday boy Jonathan Bebb was in top form as the Yellow and Greens were good value for their victory.

After a solid opening, Dunvant took the lead in fine style.  Bryncoch only half-cleared a Bebb corner and full back George Lumsdaine swept home an unstoppable drive into the top corner.  Confidence began to flow through the team and soon the lead was doubled.  Hope, Hatay and Adlam combined to release Bebb and his 30yd rocket found the roof of the net.

The 2-0 interval lead was a true reflection of Dunvant's dominance and the lead was increased early in the second half.  Jasper Addey's pinpoint cross found ace marksman Ben Chalk unmarked, and his volley found the net.  Bryncoch did hit back to reduce the deficit but Chalk was to claim his 9th of the season, shortly before the end, to seal victory.

The management were pleased with the attitude and composure shown, and the whole squad can now look forward to the last-16 draw with confidence.
