Youth grind it out at Gowerton

The Youth were forced to dig deep against a tough Gowerton side, at the Elba, and come from behind to claim the points.  Despite not being at their best, the Yellow and Greens maintained their impressive start to the season and will be relieved to escape with a narrow win.

Gowerton shocked their visitors by taking an early lead with a contested penalty but their advantage lasted only five minutes.  Skipper Jonathan Bebb levelled the scores with a rasping left-footed drive and the teams went to the break tied at 1-1.

Dunvant looked far brighter, in the second period, and were rewarded with a fine goal.  Ben Chalk timed his run to perfection to beat the keeper and establish a lead which proved crucial.  Several chances, on both sides, were wasted in the final quarter but the hosts couldn't find an equaliser.
